4

Exit without reverting

If you do not wish to revert to a previous version, select Back

Revert to a project to a backup

Reverting to a project backup will revert to a previous version making it now the version shown within the project editor, and if published the new live site.
Keep in mind: Reverting to a previous version will undo all changes that have happened after that backup was created. Deleted files will not be available in reverted versions.

Create a backup

Backups are automatic, but you can create a new backup at any time. The frequency of backups ramps up and down based on frequency of edits. If you’re editing actively automatic backups will occur regularly. If nothing has been editing for hours, days, or longer, no automatic backup will occur.

Tips

  • If you’re uneasey about reverting to a past backup, you can duplicate the project to retain the current version, then revert to a backup
  • Deleted files are not recovered when reverting, but you can re-upload the files and if they share the same file name as before they will automatically show where they were once used.
